Driving in the car yesterday, out of the blue, my middle daughter (aged 11) says this to my son (aged 12):
“By the way, if you ever fall in love and buy that girl a heart-shaped box of chocolates, be sure to TAKE OFF THE PRICE TAG.”
Watch out, Dr. Phil.
Oh pish. Pass the chocolate. 🙂
Wait – did someone buy your 11-year-old daughter a heart-shaped box of chocolates? Or was that just random (fairly sound) advice? What am I missing? WHAT AM I MISSING?
Quizzed about it later, she admitted this was something she had read in a book, where the lead character had done this and it had gone BADLY, to say the least. I believe it was a Big Nate book.
She has a point, though. Kids can be very wise. Come on, many guys wouldn’t remember this detail!
