Don’t Be Asking Me To Give You Nothin’

I had forgotten how much it bugged me, during last year’s So You Think You Can Dance Canada, to hear the judges say, “Give it up for…!!!” about 50 times per show.

Jean-Marc Genereaux, you know I love you, honey. And I know, I know, English is not your first language. But BY GOD, if you do not learn some new phrases, I am going to have a seizure. There are CHILDREN’S LIVES on the line here. Be kind.

Here are some friendly suggestions:

“Let’s hear it for…!”

“Put your hands together for…!”

“Make some noise for…!”

“How awesome is…!”

“Rock the house for…!”

“Is !! the best, or what?”

“Can I get a ‘HELL YEAH’ over here?”

“Raise the roof for…!”

“Pinch my toes and call me a jelly doughnut!”

Well, maybe not that last one.

  1. Jean-Marc makes me cringe EVERY time he opens his mouth… and I would like to punch Blake. Hard. In the “private area.”

God… and does no one give criticism. I am 99.9 per cent sure that they weren’t watching the same routines I was. There was a lot of less than stellar dancing this show.

Looking into my crystal ball… Emmanual Sandhu will make the top four because people remember his as a figure skater. (The hip hop SUCKETH MUCH MONKEY BALLS.)

Thank you for letting me get that off my chest.

  2. The Canadian judges in general just seem there to gush. Jean-Marc is just retarded. I have no idea what he’s even talking about most of the time. And he always looks on the verge of tears (when not in full weep). Tre? UGH like Chantal says. The guy with the sunglasses? WTF?? Is he speaking English? And Blake is hot, but… whatever …he can stay.

  3. I don’t watch this show, but I think he should seriously consider the last suggestion. LOL. The look of sheer confusion on everyone’s faces afterwards would up the entertainment value of this program about a hundred. 🙂
