I just watched yesterday’s results show for So You Think You Can Dance Canada, and…

WHAT THE HELL, CANADA? WHAT THE HELL?

More spoiler-filled ranting after the jump.

Many, many weeks ago I called a final four of Vincent, Nico, Arassay, and Lisa. Lately Allie has been impressing me, so maybe I’d swap out Lisa for her. But the other three — rock solid.

SO I THOUGHT.

Seriously, Canada? You seriously think Natalie is a better dancer than Arassay? You SERIOUSLY think Isaak is better than Vincent? VINCENT?

Vincent is so, so clearly one of the two best dancers in the competition. It’s just nuts that he is gone. YOU PEOPLE SUCK.

And Arassay…she might not have quite the training of the others but she has such awesome personality and is such a good actress. She was absolutely magnetic on the stage and YOU PEOPLE SUCK.

So who will be in the final four now? Do I even care?

Let’s discuss. And Canada, you BETTER take this discussion seriously.

Nico: Definite for the final four. Going to win. Totally deserves to win. He’s the king.

Miles: I wouldn’t have put him in the top four, but of the men who are left, he’s the one who deserves to be there. He’s shown the most growth and has really put in some outstanding performances (especially this past week with Allie, both their numbers were so very good).

Isaak: Okay, I get it with Isaak. The judges were way, way too harsh with him in the first several weeks, and gave him heavy criticism when he didn’t deserve it. I was very happy to see him make it to the top 10, he deserved that. But now, this we’ll-show-them attitude is done. Over. He is the weakest man in the competition. Time to go home. I MEAN IT, CANADA.

Lisa: I think Lisa is a good dancer, but up until this past week I never felt like she really stood out from the crowd. I find her solos to be kind of boring, always the same old, same old. This week with Nico, though, she was fantastic. Granted, Nico is a strong partner and tends to bring out the best in other dancers, but still, I’ll put Lisa in the top four, barely.

Allie: Allie is the strongest female dancer left, I think. In the first half of the competition I thought she was being carried by Danny, but since they started switching up the couples I’ve been really impressed at her growth and versatility. I love her solos, too. So, top four for sure.

Natalli: I like Natalli, I do. I get what people see in her — her passion, yes, but also her meekness, her “please take care of me, I am a fragile flower” quality. Very Marilyn Monroe. And she is an interesting and magnetic performer. But she just does not have the skills and has not shown the growth that the other two women have. Send her home next week, Canada. OR ELSE.

Man, watching dance show gets me really angry.

    I’m so sad to hear how the results went. This is so frustrating. I gues these shows are always the same. People don’t vote, they don’t stay. Arassay is a wonderful dancer and the fact that Isaak is still there blows my mind. Is he really even THAT good? Ugh.

  3. A and J — I guess I really shouldn’t be so angry, since I didn’t vote either! I don’t ever watch the show live, so I don’t take part in the voting. I guess I should vote before ranting!

    Sinnick — Is it wrong that I laughed and laughed at that video? The crying and screaming girls were funny, but even funnier were the couple of girls hovering around the edges who, you could tell, didn’t really care that much but felt like they should attempt to fake a passionate reaction just to fit in with their friends. Too funny!

    I had picked the same top 4 as you, and I’m especially heartbroken that Vincent is gone. But then again, I didn’t vote either.

    I’m finally caught up! Knowing that you wrote this post, even though I didn’t read it until just now, I figured Vincent was going home that week. Totally unjust!

    My pick for the final four was Vincent, Nico, Arrassay and Natalli. Sorry, but I think Natalli is brilliant. She’s so strong and captivating on stage. Love her. Arrassay just squeaked by Lisa on my list. I agree with you: Lisa is great, but she just wasn’t standing out from the crowd.

    I personally don’t see what people see in Allie. So blah. I do like her solos, but I don’t think she is as good as the other 3 I mention above.

    Nico’s solos are so brilliant though. I think he’s the best choreographer of the group. Vincent and Allie do a good job of their solos, too, but the other solos (especially Izaak’s!) are very amateurish.
