It says something about motherhood that when the Captain sings, “Movin’ to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches” over and over again in the car on the way home, I find it endlessly endearing, whereas if it were someone else’s kid, I’d feel like pounding a steel bolt through my eye after about 100 iterations.
