Yesterday’s time trial up L’Alp D’Huez was pretty cool. Jan Ullrich went fifth-last and set the best time — then along came Lance, riding last, and kicked everyone’s ass. He finished a minute ahead of Jan, more than two minutes ahead of Basso, and now has a comfortable 3+ minute lead on everyone else.

Yesterday’s key phrase was “dancing on the pedals.”

Today’s key phrase is clearly “a great bike rider.” In addition to this perennial favourite, I’ve already heard:
