Quick tour update — no major news from the past few days. Although there have finally been a few mountains in the past couple of stages, the peloton has stayed together and all the big stars are playing it safe. Things should finally start happening on Saturday when they hit the Pyranees.

The biggest news is that Richard Virenque, a Frenchman, won the stage yesterday, on Bastille Day. That means that anyone who had Virenque in my Tour pool got major bonus points. I, of course, don’t have him on my dream team. Grrrr.
