A friend of mine just told me that CBS announced their fall schedule and put the Amazing Race in a Saturday time slot. Could that mean that race 5 will be immediately followed by race 6? That would be fabulous!
That would be cool, but I suspect that we’re just seeing the tail-end of the Amazing Race season. It’s usually about 12 weeks long (8 elimination legs and 4 non-elimination legs) and if they aren’t starting it until July 6, I suspect it will have to run into September.
On the other hand, it seems that the “new season” on TV is starting later and later these days. Back in the day, all shows debuted in September, but now it’s not uncommon for shows to debut in October or November (The O.C., bitca!). So maybe they are planning to add it to their regular line-up in the fall. Yay!
In other news, Calgary won last night so they are on their way to the Stanley Cup playoffs. I heard that this season of The Amazing Race will have a Canada leg that goes through Calgary — now Americans will actually have heard of the place!
